Research

The faculty and the students of the Statistical Physics Group engage in a theoretical research that spans some of the central topics of the field.

The range of our activities includes critical phenomena, Conformal Field Theory and deformations thereof, integrable models and lattice exact solvable models, statistical field theory, cold atom physics, off-equilibrium systems, Casimir effects, quantum disordered systems, quantum computation and complex systems. The engagement and quality of research carried out here creates an exceptional learning environment for students at all levels.
