Applications are invited for five postdoctoral positions with the SISSA Statistical Physics Group, starting in autumn 2020. The positions have a total duration of two years and are in the general area of quantum field theory and statistical physics.
Some of the positions are on the following specific projects:
- Coarse-grained description for non-equilibrium system and transport phenomena (PIs: A. Gambassi, S. Ruffo).
- Low dimensional quantum systems: theory, experiments and simulations (PIs: P. Calabrese and G. Mussardo).
- ERC project New Entangled states of Matter Out of equilibrium (PI: P. Calabrese). This position can be extended up to three years.
- Entanglement, quantum fields and holography (PI: E. Tonni).
Short-listed candidates will be contacted to be informed on which positions they are considered for.
A complete description of the research interests of the group and of the current members can be found here.
The deadline for applications is January 15th, 2020, but we encourage earlier applications.
Applications (which should include a CV with a list of publications and the names of at least two referees) should be submitted via the Academic Jobs Online Service.
